After a thrilling, last minute come from behind shootout victory last night against the Vancouver Canucks, it seems the Sabres may be back on track to their winning ways. Tonight they take their two game win streak on the road to Montreal in whats sure to be a great game against their closest divisional rival.
With this being the last game before the All-Star break and a four point game between N.E. Division teams, i fully expect Lindy to have his troops fired up and ready for this tilt.....
Lets Go Buffalo!!!!!

Game day prediction....
I'm thinking Miller will get the start again tonight, and truly hoping that our special teams start doing things right, if so.....

Well, once again we saw a familiar Sabres team of late....not showing up for the first half of the game and at best, very subpar special teams. The Sabres sleepwalked thru the first period and allowed the Habs 2 PP goals on 3 chances and could not convert on their own 2 PP opportunities. They came out weak in the second and allowed one more goal before Daniel Briere finally awoke the team with his first goal of the game at the 9:04 mark. After that, it was all Sabres carrying the momentum and eventually tying the game almost halfway thru the third in what seemed to be the "Sabres of October" looking to perform some of that old come from behind magic. Unfortunately it just wasn't to be, as Michael Ryder scored the eventual game winner with just under 3 minutes left to play in the third. So the Sabres head into the All-Star break on a bit of a sour note, with their tails between their legs, wondering once again whats it gonna take to get their special teams back on track and their work ethic back to a full 60 minutes. Hopefully, Lindy will have them fired up after the break, similar to last year after the olympic break, where they came out out losing the first game, but followed that up with 8 straight wins. Hopefully the special teams are back on track, the work ethic is back, and a few of our injured regulars are back and ready to play.

Hey. I'm a Habs fan and I just have to rub it in a little. Sabres 3 Canadiens 4 Hey, no problem... i always like a good rival and welcome to the board. The Habnots are a team that match up quite well against us with great speed and great goaltending, and definitely a team that i really don't want the Sabres to meet in the playoffs.........only cuz i won't be able to stand the sniveling from all the Habs fans after we kick your A$$E$!!!!! lol
